An Led strip light is an adjustable circuit board filled with surface-mounted light-emitting diode (LED) light-emitting diodes, which are then substrate mounted on an adhesive backing.Traditionally, led strip lights were used only in task lighting, accent lighting, and low-light decorative lighting applications.Recent designs have allowed for the use of strip lights as interior lighting in such areas as foyers, living rooms, entryways, hallways, basements, and storage spaces. They are available in a variety of colors, styles and sizes to meet any application needs. This flexibility also makes them easy to install.
Most strip lights feature a one or two wattage per foot of brightness output, giving you flexibility in setting the level of light desired and the amount of lumens to be emitted. The typical range of brightness output is one thousand to forty thousand lumens per foot.strip lights A higher setting will create a greater level of illumination;a lower setting will create a softer, more subtle light.Upgrading from a high to a low setting can create a bright effect for outdoor applications or ambient lighting in a room or area.
Strip lights Another popular application for strip lights is to add Led lights to overhead cabinets, shelves, cabinets, or side panels in a home or office. These easy to install lights add accent lighting to a location without the installation of expensive fixtures. You can choose a variety of colors and shapes, some of which are fluorescent, incandescent or fluorescent. There are even some Led strip lights shaped like a flashlight.
Strip lights Color changing strips are also very popular. These strips contain a fluorescent or Led light emitting diode (LED) that can be changed from one color to another by simply removing the strip from its base and replacing it with a new strip. Some of these strip lights require special connectors, but most can be broken into two-prong configuration. The result is similar to having a wall sconce that can be easily changed from white to blue or red. There are some advantages and disadvantages to using color changing strips.
Strip lights In an environment where temperature changes often, strip lights offer one of the few color changing options that do not require relighting or replacing.Typically, these single color changing options require that the strip must be removed from its base and replaced with a new one each time it is used. This can become inconvenient if the conditions change, such as moving furniture in a room. Also, because they use one fixed color,if the lights are moved, the color may have been affected. If you decide to use these single color options, make sure they can stand up to your changing environment.Weatherproof strips are available that do not require the base to be removed.
Finally, when buying led lights, don't forget to check out the power rating.Strip lights can be powered by one or more individual batteries or a set amount of batteries. Most led strip lights come with at least one extra battery pack so that you have backup options, should the power go out.In many cases you can replace just the bulbs in your lights, saving money in the process.Don't let cost be a factor when it comes to buying your next set of Led strip lights.
